Thank you for this Im Haitian and theres been a lot of discourse in the Haitian community that wants us to identify as Latin and there’s been some pushback because the Latin American community doesn’t really accept us, but to know that we are accepted in the creole community fills me with so much joy I will now identify as creole that makes me so happy.
Yess love that and I heard that before as well. You can be creole while simultaneously being apart of the Latin community since most of the languages/dialects are Latin based. But a lot of people in the Latin community aren’t accepting of that unfortunately. I love your perspective tho thanksss for reading
